Yvonne Eadon (The Feminine Eye) is a Durham-based analog collage artist and chaotic lesbian. Eadon draws on the hyperfemininity of the midcentury ephemera she works with to turn outdated gender stereotypes on their head, reframing and recontextualizing her source material through a modern and expansive queer lens. Through surrealist imagery and the art of camp, Yvonne creates one-of-a-kind collages that encourage viewers to imagine and create radically beautiful queer futures. Her work has been exhibited as part of Weird Productions’ “DollyWeird” show, and is for sale at the Scrap Exchange Artist Market. Her work will also be exhibited as part of Orange County Arts’ Commissions’ upcoming 1.5°C Exhibition at the Eno Arts Mill Gallery.
